A woman prepares to shoot up a man with heroine in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Irvington, NJ. Last year at the same location a man was shot and killed across the street from there. For this first time according to the federal Center for Disease Control, heroin deaths have surpassed gun homicides with over 33 thousand people overdosing. Opioid use has become an epidemic in the USA and this parking lot and another across the street is frequently visited by people coming off the highway ramps of Route 78 to quickly score some drugs. The man was arrested and charge with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. He is from rural Burlington County, NJ, and with his sports car next to him, he is any easy target for crime in the urban neighborhood 15 miles from New York City.
